What is your favorite childhood memory?
My grandparents had a cabin a few hours north that we’d visit every summer. I was always excited to go up there because it was so fun to play in the woods around the cabin. There were lots of trails and my sister and I would ride our bikes or ride my grandpa’s old mopeds around the trails.
What TV show did you enjoy as a kid? Why?
I used to watch mostly cartoons when I was a kid… but I remember that they would show old episodes of “The Monkees” before the cartoons came on. I used to like watching that show because I loved the opening song (Hey hey we’re the Monkees…) and the show itself was goofy and funny.
What was your favorite toy or game?
My favorite toys were my Tonka Trucks and model tractors. I’d play in my sandbox and dig holes or plow and pretend I was planting crops. Nothing ever grew so I didn’t ever get to harvest with my toy combine though…
What is the best thing you cook or bake?
Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m not the best cook. If I had to pick something, I’d say the only thing I’m able to make are steaks on the grill.
What do you do “just for fun”?
If it’s nice out and I have free time, I’m usually riding my motorcycles. I love going for a relaxing ride on some twisty roads or testing my skills at a track day on the race tracks of Road America or Blackhawk Farms.
What work would you do if you weren’t in graphics?
If we’re talking dream jobs, I’d like to be a professional motorcycle racer… but back in reality possibly a mechanic or an engineer (for a professional race team!).
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
The most satisfying part of my job is being able to “tie” everything up. When the estimates are completed, jobs are produced, invoices are mailed and bills are paid, it feels good to be “caught up,” if only until the next day.
